Custom Woolen Mills is a small, family owned and operated woolen mill located near Carstairs, Alberta, Canada. Using turn-of-the-century industrial revolution machinery, they have been providing quality woolen and exotic fibre products to their loyal customers for over 35 years. Their Prairie Wool Medium Soft Spun Yarn is a three strand soft spun yarn made with 100% pure Dorset wool and a slight twist, giving it excellent wear characteristics and durability. It is commonly used in knitting Icelandic Style sweaters, as the weft in a weave, or with a chunky knitting machine.
